The Power Of An Endless Life

15 And it is yet far more evident if, in the likeness of Melchizedek, there arises another priest 17 For He testifies: “You are a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek.” (Hebrews 7:15-17 NKJV)

The book of Hebrews has thirteen chapters all in all. The first six chapters talk about the superiority of the Person Jesus Christ. The next four chapters talk about the superiority of the Priesthood (Jesus our High Priest never dies) and the last three chapters talk about the superiority of the Principle. Thus chapter 7 is the beginning of the new chapter which talks about the superiority of our High Priest Jesus Christ compared to the Jewish high priest that dies.

Love Never Fails

Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. (1 Corinthians 13:4-8)

God is love! God is love is not a definition; it is who He is in that He states that He is love. God is love is constant, absolute and no circumstances can change it (unconditional). God is love exists since the beginning before the foundation of the world. Since God is Self-Existence, God is love exists throughout eternity. Does God reflect His character that He is love? God created everything out of love and nothing was created without love. Because God is perfect, everything He created was perfect and love was attached to the thing He created. Does it mean that the perfect God created sinners?

12 Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12 NKJV)

There is a Medieval Expression that says, “All roads lead to Rome”, which means there are many different ways that reach the same result, the same outcome, the same destiny. Have you ever heard how people use this expression when you try to share the good news about salvation that Jesus is the only way to the Father and there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved? People use the analogy “going to Heaven-the dwelling place of God” as “going to Rome”.

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God (Ephesians 6:17 NKJV)

Having been talking about the first five “Armor of God” (“The Belt” – May 9, 2017, “The Breast Plate” – May 11, 2017, The Shoes Of The Gospel Of Peace”-May 25, 2017, “The Shield Of Faith”-June 6, 2017 and the Helmet Of Salvation-June 13), let us now talk about the sixth “Armor Of God” - “The Sword Of The Spirit”. Paul the Apostle under the influence of the Holy Spirit uses the Roman sword as an analogy of the sixth armor of God. The Roman sword is a short sword, light quick and very effective for hand to hand combat.

Paul the Apostle under the influence of the Holy Spirit uses Roman helmet as an analogy of the fifth armor of God. The Roman helmet is made of leather and metal or solid cast metal and it is used to protect the soldier against a broadsword three to four feet long.

“Above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.” (Ephesians 6:16 NKJV)

Having been talking about the first three “Armor of God” (“The Belt” – May 9, 2017, “The Breast Plate” – May 11, 2017 and The Shoes Of The Gospel Of Peace”-May 25, 2017) let us now talk about the fourth “Armor of God” – “The Shield Of Faith”. Paul the Apostle under the influence of the Holy Spirit uses Roman shield as an analogy of the fourth armor of God. Roman shield is made of wood and leather and later reinforced with metal and its edges are made to lock together as one treated to extinguish dangerous fiery arrows. In hand to hand combat, the shield is used to block weapons such as swords.
