Twisted And Blindfolded Justice

21 Jesus answered and said to them, “I did one work, and you all marvel.22 Moses therefore gave you circumcision (not that it is from Moses, but from the fathers), and you circumcise a man on the Sabbath. 23 If a man receives circumcision on the Sabbath, so that the law of Moses should not be broken, are you angry with Me because I made a man completely well on the Sabbath? 24 Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.” (John 7:21-24 NKJV)

A few years back my wife and I went to BMW dealership wearing old clothes and flip-flop. When we arrived there, the salesman looked at us thoroughly from head to toe, and we felt very uncomfortable. Finally, he asked us, what kind of car are you driving? Toyota, my wife answered him. And he told my wife a statement that shocked us, “if you are not in a position to buy BMW, be content with what you have.” We gave a smile and left the store.

Husband, Honor Your Wife

Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered. (1 Peter 3:7 NKJV)

In today’s society, we do not see any arranged marriage anymore. Though we may think that it is weird to marry someone we do not know and yet most of the arranged marriage last “till death do us part.” In the arranged marriage both husband and wife know their role in the marriage; they honor and respect one another, one of the most important things to be done in the marriage. Marriage does not only involve the two persons (husband and wife) who commit themselves to one another and to remain faithful till death do us part, but there is also God who blessed the marriage that they may become one as husband and wife.

Here Am I, Send Me

Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.” (Isaiah 6:8 NKJV)

That evening a father came home past 8 pm in the evening from work, it was a long day for him and he looked tired. His wife Jennifer was busy taking care of their three children, Susan the youngest of three was seven years old, Jeremy was nine years of age and Mary was twelve years old. She too was tired that evening, Aaron her husband noticed how tired his wife was and asked his children who among them would like to help mom clean the kitchen and wash the dishes. Jeremy got up and made his way to the kitchen followed by Mary.

Does Your Church Give You The Right Teaching?

There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your brothers and toward the poor and needy in your land. (Deuteronomy 15:11 NIV)

When the Bible says that the poor will always be in the land, the Lord wants us to make a room in our heart to exercise mercy with such a compassionate heart upon those who are less fortunate than we are. Since this is a command given by the Lord Himself, we need to make sure that we carry it without any explicit delay because every soul matters to God and matters to us.

Faithful In A Small Thing

10 He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much. 11 Therefore if you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? 12 And if you have not been faithful in what is another man’s, who will give you what is your own? (Luke 16:10-12 NKJV)

This is a story about my brother, who is a surgeon graduated from Germany and work in Indonesia. He is so passionate in what he is doing and in helping the unfortunate people. It was that day when he was finished seeing his last patient, like the fishermen in Luke 5 were washing their nets, when a priest told my brother to wait for another patient coming from a three day journey to meet my brother for their sick child and my brother agreed to wait for that child to come because for this purpose he was sent to serve Him.
