mind of Christ

Living To His Standard

17 This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, 18 having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart (Ephesians 4:17-18 NKJV)

In His Epistle to the Ephesians, Apostle Paul rebukes the way the Christians in Ephesus live their lives. They do not live according to the standard of the Bible, instead they let themselves follow the worldly teaching and walk as the Gentiles walk in the futility of their mind. Apostle Paul clearly distinguishes how Christians should live their lives, in which he emphasizes a different way of thinking because the right thinking that is based on the Word of God will lead to right believing and right believing will lead to right living. In other words when your thinking is right, your action will also be right, because action follows your thought, which is your mind.
